Meet our Governors

Our governing body act in the best interests of all our pupils at Westminster Nursery School. The governing body have an important part to play in raising school standards through their key roles of setting strategic direction, ensuring accountability and monitoring and evalulating school performance.   We are delighted that our governors are frequent visitiors to the school and engage readily with both staff and pupils.

Headteacher - Mrs Elizabeth Hulse

The Governors are an important part of our team. They know the school well and are able to relate to our individual situation as the only maintained Nursery School in Cheshire East. The Governors fulfil the role of being able to focus on the quality of teaching, learning and the outcomes of our pupils.

The Governors have regular contact with school and are involved in the school development plan. They have sub-committees which meet each term and then report back to the full Governing body meeting. It is important that the Governors question and challenge us as staff. They act on a strategic basis in their support of school and ensure the correct procedures are followed to promote the best possible education for the children in our care.

Chair of Governors - Councillor Mrs Dorothy Flude

As a local Councillor it is a pleasure to be involved with Westminster Nursery School. I have known the nursery for a number of years now. It is an excellent facility for children under 5 years of age in Crewe South. While we all recognise that play and care is important in a young child's life, their education is vital to their future.

At Westminster Nursery School the key to this lock is turned in the right direction so that all children who attend have an excellent start in life.
