Happy New Year!
Welcome back, I hope you have had a good Christmas break and enjoyed the special time with your children particularly during these difficult times with so many restrictions.
It was lovely to see all the children return so happily ready to start 2021 on Monday before the news of the lockdown was announced.
This week we are preparing our online remote learning package and I hope you will be able to complete some of the wonderful activities the staff provide for your children. The Government message is stay home and stay safe and I do appreciate those who are able to support the safety of our team by reducing the possible transmission from home to school.
We welcome several new children into our Westminster family this term, and look forward to getting to know their families when the lock down is over. We hope the situation with COVID shows improvement with the vaccine but will continue to make our best endeavours to keep your children safe for those who need to be in school.
We are very pleased to have our new undercover outdoor space ready to use, this was completed in the last week of term.
During the second half of this term we are hoping to hold parent appointments over the phone if we are unable to meet face to face safely. These help to develop the secure links we hold with you our parents further and are invaluable times to share your children’s progress. We welcome feedback from you at any time to help us continuously improve for the benefit of your children. If you have any areas of expertise you would like to share with the children we would be pleased to welcome this when it is safe to do so. Our curriculum covers many areas and the children’s experiences are widened through visitors alongside trips out when these become possible. Please visit our website regularly for updates which are added.
We are hoping to hold an open day on Saturday 6th March which will be appointment only to ensure we follow the current COVID guidelines. Please do share this with your friends and families to encourage them to ring in and book an appointment.
