Week beginning 8.5.17

This week in Caterpillars we will be continuing our theme on growth and growing and looking at animals and their babies. The children will be learning the names of baby animals and looking at how they change as they grow. We will also be looking at our own faces and using the dough to make a copy of our own face using mirrors to help us. We will be exploring magnets and finding out about which items are magnetic from a collection of objects, then using our magnetic fishing rods as part of a game. All of our children have been enjoying building towers this week so we will be developing this using coloured blocks to make patterns and comparing different shapes and heights.
