Week beginning 1.5.17

This week we will be thinking about caterpillars and watching how they grow and change into butterflies. We have some tiny caterpillars in the classroom which we are hoping to observe as they change. The children will be listening to the story of the hungry caterpillar and exploring the different fruits he eats, naming them and printing with them. We will be exploring the musical instruments and also blowing bubbles outside to see how they fly away as a butterfly might do. We have some other new additions in the classroom - stick insects which we are watching each day and often trying to find amongst the leaves as they are hard to spot!
