Week beginning 19.6.17 Caterpillars

As it is National Road Safety week we have arranged for a visit by an articulated lorry cab for the children to explore the size and parts of it. We will begin the week by identifying different vehicles we might see on the roads such as cars, motorbikes, lorries and buses, using some toy vehicles. We will investigate different tyre treads using paint to make tracks. We will be thinking about traffic lights and making traffic lights biscuits as well as playing traffic lights games to learn to stop and go. At the end of the week we will look at bright and dull colours to discuss which are best to wear when we are out walking near roads, using some luminous paper.
