Week beginning 26.2.18 in Caterpillars

This week the children will be learning and sharing activities based on different books as we celebrate World Book Day on Thursday. We are beginning the week by using some of the number books that the children love to share from our book rack. We will be doing lots of counting and matching numbers, objects and pictures. We are then going to use the book Dear Zoo, another favourite to match animals, their sounds and to make flap pictures. We will be developing our language as we describe the animals and think of reasons why they might not make good pets. On Thursday the children can come to nursery dressed as a character from a book, we will be looking at our outfits and seeing if we can guess who we are!
