Week beginning 30.10.17

This week in Caterpillars we will be exploring a pumpkin, both inside and outside, as we compare it to an apple for similarities and differences – seeds, shape, colour, texture. The children will also be mixing colours to make some autumn shades starting with red and yellow to make orange. To follow the children’s interests we will be making some sycamore seeds from paper and flying them alongside real seeds to see if they spin in the same way. At the end of the week we will begin to think about fireworks to help the children as they may experience some over the weekend.
